I tried the upgrade from 1070 to Dual Mini 3060 Ti. The 1070 works without issue (Windows Bootcamp TB2>TB3), but when I try and use the 3060 Ti I get the error 12 message. The RGB lights up on the 3060 Ti, but the fans start and stop. I also noticed the power supply fans don't turn on when the 3060 Ti is connected, but work fine with the 1070. Whenever I restart the machine with the 3060 Ti and select Windows using the Apple boot loader, Windows restarts almost immediately and initiates a repair.

I don't believe it is a driver issue as I've used DDU when switching between the two cards. I do have a desktop at another location that I can test the card in, and it is always possible there is something wrong with the card (used on eBay).

I was hoping to squeeze a little more life out of the AORUS Gaming Box, but if I have to upgrade the PSU I might just throw in the towel. I have also tried the HackFlags registry edit...anything else to try?

Update: 600W Enhance PSU does not fix the problem in Bootcamp - still get error 12 and error 31. However, for those having power issues with the Aorus Gaming Box + 600W Enhance PSU + Dual Mini 3060 Ti, this may solve your problems. My Dell XPS 13 9350 did not show any Thunderbolt connection when running a single TB3 cable from the 450W + 3060 Ti Aorus Gaming Box. For it to work, I needed to boot first with a power brick connected to the laptop.

With the 600W, no extra power brick is needed. The more powerful PSU can charge the Dell XPS 13 9350 while driving the card as well.

The parameters suggested in the above post do not include the Mac Pro 2013 (6,1) which is the system I am trying to use with this guide. Is there any way to get rEFInd working on this machine?

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
