I couldn't get anything past beta 6 to work with bootcamp on my MBP 2019 16" w/5500M 8gb setup. So I'm on 1903v1 w/o updates for bootcamp and beta 6 big sur.... I'm scared to upgrade. Right now my mac shows Big Sur RC2 is available 11.0.1 (is that GM?). I'm playing games in bootcamp every night on my Oculus Quest2 and don't wanna let down my friends, but would love to update from beta 6.... has anyone took the plunge yet?
@erik_tank, Was going to try as I have never been able to get anything to work with my similar setup to yours.

.@erik_tank, very curious to know as well. Could you perhaps attempt the upgrade and see the results? I would try myself but I have no experience in downgrading the iBridgeOS firmware in case it shouldn't work.

.If you keep Windows 10 at 1903 V1, eGPU should remain working in Boot Camp.

After updating my Mac Mini 2014 from Big Sur 11.0 Beta 20A5384c (which worked great for me) to Big Sur 11.0.1, pushing the option key prevents the system from booting - only the famous black screen is back. No way to see a partition to choose. Booting without pushing the option key, Big Sur will be loaded. Consequently, to time, I can not use Boot Camp / Windows.
Hope this problem will be solved soon.
My Mac Mini 2018 works after the update as good as before.
Cheers & success
Installed Big Sur last night after having the same download issues as everyone else most of the afternoon. Boot Camp is still intact and RTX 2080 works same as before with unmodified windows 19042.630 (20H2). Boot Menu entry has changed from "Windows" to "EFI Boot".
Radeon VII works fine in MacOS, haven't tried to make it work in windows but assuming it will error 12. Can boot MacOS with Radeon VII attached now and filevault enabled (before it would hang after putting my password in and need to be hotplugged. Benchmarks in MacOS are a hair higher than before, I did have the display freeze while running a geekbench opencl test though and had to unplug egpu for system to be responsive again.

@ningauble77, I should have specified better - I’ve got a mantiz egpu with 5700xt. Last time I moved past Big Sur beta 6 I couldn’t get bootcamp to work with the 5700xt. No matter what I tried it was always code 12. I use bootcamp every night to relax and game when time permits and I’m just wary of an upgrade... but it sounds like we all are hesitant to making the jump. I was hoping to not get the arrows in my butt this time.

Agree that it should... I’m just to scared to try 😉

Have you personally tested it with an AMD GPU?

.@ludalex, Yes. On the 2019 16-in MacBook Pro Windows 10 1903 is working well with RX 5700 XT eGPU. On 2018 Mac mini and 2019 13-in MacBook Pro, I could run newer Windows 10 with the help of HackFlags 0x600.
