With my last MBP 15" I booted normal into Bootcamp, installed Bootcampdriver, installed the tb driver and it was finde with the egpu.

I didn't need some efi bootloader or something else.

@itsage Great guide, thank you. Quick question:

I recently picked up a Mac Mini and with this having an iGPU, do I still need to take the same procedures as one having a dGPU? I just tried doing a similar process that I did with my Mid-17 15" MBP without bootcampdrviers and going directly to AMD latest drivers, but it gave me an error for the 5700xt not having enough resources which is weird because I can't disable the iGPU without it effecting boot up (since on boot up its a black screen with the eGPU connected) I used the 1903 Win 10 (.30). Wondering if I should try an earlier Win 10 or if I am missing something entirely. Appreciate the help. My setup is below:

27" LG 5k Display (2nd Gen)

Razer Core X w/ AMD 5700XT

Mac Mini (2018/2020)

Cables: 1x Moshi 5k DisplayPort to TB3, 2x TB3-TB3

Edit: Also, wondering if STEP 2 & 3 are recommended for Mac Mini Users. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Beautiful and understandable guide, but I have a problem with step 2:
If I run integrated.bat or everything from file, that I download from hyperlink, I see these error: (Mistake photo on Google disk:

)
(In English: Code execution cannot continue because the system failed to detect MSVCR120.dll. To fix the problem try reinstalling the program)
Obviously, it's impossible, because I don't instal it.
How to fix this mistake?

@mattyu36, It's likely the system requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 to run the the script.

Hmmm... But I install it and restart windows before that...
As a result I instal MVS 2015 and it's working without restart.

I try to instal AMD drivers (I have MBP 15" 2017+Sonnet 650+Radeon VII), but their program don't find AMD's hardware, so I instal last drivers from bootcampdrivers.com. After that, windows started very long (I waited 30-40 minute, but it isn't working and I restart Mac in macOS). How to fix it?

Now it's crashed after installed Bootcamp drivers and stars from checkpoint without bcd.
Hot-plug is sometimes working, sometimes crash windows(10, build 1903 - best for eGPU), if it not crash, it's working very-very slow, slowly then Radeon 555 in Mac(
Help me fix it, please.

I’m happy to report success with a 2017 MB Pro>Razer Core X>RX5500 XT.

I had to disable the camera port (port #10 for me)

Thank you so much for this guide.

[UPDATE] disabling the camera only worked temporarily. I continued to run into error 12 after a reset/shut down. Spent many hours trying disabling other devices, but could not maintain it working through a reset/ shut down.

[SOLVED] Finally found the solution in trying the other thunderbolt 3 port. I feel dumb not trying that first. It now works even past a reset/shut down every time. Did NOT need to disable any devices after this. Everything is working as normal.

I am so grateful I found this community and I'm hoping I can get some help.

I have a late 2017 MacBook Pro 15in with the bar. I also have the BlackDesignMagic eGpu with an AMD 580 card. I installed windows with bootcamp. I downloaded the AMD bootcamp driver but I cannot get the eGPU to work.

I'm kind of stuck because I am using the eGPU to run my external monitor as my screen is FUBAR.

I the EFIboot solution I found on YouTube but it was from 2018.

I am really confused as to what I should do. I am not very technologically sound but I can follow directions well.

I would appreciate help if possible.

Which port did you use? I plugged my eGPU to the top left port.

Hi itsage, I got a MBP 15' late-2016, and the article mentioned that it is suggested to integrate DSDT override into automate egpu efi, but I have no clue how exactly I could do it... Would you mind talks about it a little bit?

I really appreciate it!!!!

Happy to report a fairly easy success on a 2018 Mac Mini with a Razer Core X and an RX 5700 XT.

I installed the ASUS drivers in Windows Bootcamp and the card fired up right away. I have had zero hiccups over a few nights of most excellent gaming.

I'm on Mojave, so Mac OS doesn't recognize the card (need Catalina for 5700 series cards...) and may leave it that way as Catalina deprecates a bunch of 32bit Logic plugins I use.
