I assume you had to at least instal the drivers yourself?
Just doing that myself right now...

Thanks for that! Mine is

MBP141.0169.B00

BUT, I haven't tried Bootcamp yet due to being dissuaded by all the stories of error 12

Could @tim_hyde confirm their ROM version as well? I wonder if the newer versions have fixed it (and if so, is there a way to update it?)

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

This is great news. If only AMD could do a better GPU for gaming this year, I would be Red Team forever.

Hi, ROM version is MBP143.0169.B00 too.

I'm not too clued up on the in and outs of all the issues people have with this stuff. This was my first go having just got the new MacBook last month. But clearly the latest versions just seem to work.

MacOS worked just plug and play, so thought I'd give bootcamp ago.

In Windows BootCamp, I plugged it in, Windows found some drivers. I updated them using auto search in device manager. Couldn't be easier! Didn't got looking for any specific driver or doing anything really.

I was very pleasantly surprised having read the various articles on this site in preparation. Didn't need any of them.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

My bottom boot rom (thanks autocorrect) version is

MBP142.0169.B00

Not the same as others who report plug and play success... which is kinda good to know, is it all down to the bootrom?

Now, how to update...
