@itsage, Thanks ! how should I boot the win10 system to see my 5700 xt I don’t get it on my external monitor. can you explain me how to cold plug my setting ? I did all the tasks
FYI, I installed an Insider update two days ago (can’t remember build #). External display went back to error 12 as the installer modified display drivers. Had to remove the “new” display drivers with DDU in safe mode and reinstalled them and everything is still working.
While the latest fast ring versions have resolved error 12 on Radeon eGPUs, PCIe component detection and management in Win10 1903 V1 is still better in my observation. 18362.30 to .295 are the only versions I've found to be able to handle Radeon eGPU hot-plug in Bootcamp.
So what exactly is needed to get this working from scratch with 16" macbook pro and iGPU/dGPU? Latest insider -> DDU -> bootcampdrivers -> coldplug and done? That's it? No efi hacks, no port dance?

I tried with just that and still getting error 12. I guess I still need the efi hack, will try and report back.

Nope! Not sure what you guys are doing to get it to work. I tried efi hack (As you can see my intel iGPU is enabled), port dance, bootcampdrivers, etc...

I would ddu the driver you have installed and reinstall the driver from bootcampdrivers. If I'm not mistaking code 31 means the driver signature is invalid.
I have tried DDU then bootcampdrivers multiple of times with no luck still. I just gave up on this whole eGPU with AMD and bootcamp for now. Im happy with 5500m dGPU. This is too much of a pain to maintain and worry about with every single update from both MacOS and Windows. Razer Core X Chroma sucks on MacOS so I ended up returning that too (It's a Razer product, should have known better).
