 I have Mid 2015 15" MBP with m370x + Akitio NODE + RX480 BOOTCAMP

Windows 10

I have [This Rx480]( https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131694R) + [Tb3 to Tb2 Adapter]( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M04U186/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) + [Thunderbolt Cable]( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/apple-6-6-thunderbolt-cable-black/3453029.p?skuId=3453029)

I followed [9to5Mac guide] by downloading [Thunderbolt Software]( http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOTHERBOARD/Intel/ASRock-Z270-SuperCarrier-Intel-Thunderbolt-Driver-16-2-52-250.shtml#download) and [Akitio Node Firmware]( https://www.akitio.com/firmware/node-firmware)

When I plug in the Thunderbolt cable into my laptop and turn on the Node nothing happens except I can hear and feel a little fan from the PSU. The GPU is not spinning and the bigger Node Case fan is not spinning. In addition, nothing happens in my device manager or in my toolbar.

I ran the Firmware and it says I do not have the software and is unable to detect the Node. I am not using an external monitor yet, because I was hoping to get my internal display working before I invest in a monitor.

What do I do?

You can’t upgrade a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure’s firmware via the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt adapter. Go through eGPU.io setup guide in macOS to see if the AKiTiO Node and RX 480 work with your system. Once you have that going, you can boot into Windows.
