Hiya,

I'm new to the forum so in advance SO sorry if this has been covered or I'm posting incorrectly.

Hopefully a simple issue - I have an iMac 2017 (Radeon Pro 580 etc). Trying to get my Sonnet Breakaway Box with an NVIDIA 1080 TI in it to work when in Bootcamp. It shows in Device Manager, but I can't seem to actually use it to play games (Final Fantasy 14 for example - helpful that particular game shows what GPU is being used).
I'm probably being an idiot, but any help or a point in the right direction would be MUCH appreciated Smile

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@Tom Morter-Laing, Apple disabled the iGPU in the iMac. Therefore, we cannot use eGPU internal display acceleration. There's a workaround for this but it has huge impact on performance. You can read my 2017 iMac 21.5" implementation here.

Thank you so much for responding - I've been trying to use the iGPU enabler usb - I didn't realise the iMac literally just doesnt have an iGPU to enable! haha.
I wonder if there's some clever way of making it think it has one by attaching one via another pcie box or some such....
It's a shame windows doesn't have a way of forcing an application to use a certain GPU, I don't understand why it requires disabling the other GPU.

Just so I'm clear -  http://www.newertech.com/products/hdmi_headless_video_adapter.php would be plugged into the eGPU itself?
