Hey there,

i have  an iMac 27'' 2019 and used it with a 1080 TI egpu through the razer core x. Everyhting is working fine with the newest version of win10.

I bought an 2080 RTX and installed it to thte razer core. When I start the egpu before booting I get the black screen before the apple icon appears and nothing happens then after. So I deinstalled all the drivers with DDU and turn the egpu on when I am already in Windows. After that the display freezes and works again about 15sec later. Windows recognize the 2080 RTX in the device manager but with an 43 error.

And i can't get rid of it. And because of the freezes I think I am doing something wrong before hand.

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance

Stefan

@stvno

This info is from @redheadroo re his RTX system build in another thread:

@freshpots A restart and hot plugging works for me everytime although I have adopted a new timing for hot plugging as of yesterday, mentioned by @rycco above which is to wait 30 seconds at the Windows login screen and the plug in the eGPU. I have had a far higher success rate with this with 8 o/o 8 successful boots thus far. Thank you so much @rycco. Hope this helps you @freshpots.

The other thing I mentioned above if bluetooth keeps failing to start, is restart in macOS and then at the macOS login screen click Restart and then go back into Windows, this works everytime for me.

Beause I can already enable the gpu during windows, but then get the error 43.
