Hey guys,

Having trouble getting the Thunderbolt ports to function after fresh bootcamp install.

Everything works fine on OSX. The new intel drivers with bootcamp support cause ithe Thunderbolt controller to crash a few minutes after startup.  Old drivers didn't crash the controller. You could see it in the device manager but nothing was recognized. However thunderbolt is providing power to peripherals in windows.

Hey - I have the exact same issue, with any TB3 ports in Bootcamp. Tried a USB-C hard drive, a Thunderbolt hard drive and a Thunderbolt eGPU and getting zero response in Bootcamp. All work perfectly in macOS.

Tried a fresh Windows install, tried various other tricks but the ports never kick in.

FYI, running iMac Pro (2017) 10-core, 64GB, Vega 56 built in - testing with Sonnett 650 or G-tech hard drives.

I would recommend iMac Pro owners who experience non-working Thunderbolt ports in Boot Camp to contact Apple Support. This is not eGPU related so they cannot claim they don't support eGPU in Boot Camp.

Yeah - Apple are looking into this for me, it seems like it might be a driver/firmware issue specific to iMac Pro and Bootcamp. Super annoying either way!
