Hi all, quick question, am I right in saying that a Nvidia card should work right out of the gate under the latest version of Windows on MacOS (based on the setup guide I believe that's a yes)?
I ask because I recently setup a Geforce 970 using the ADT-Link R43SG-TB3 and trying to figure out if its the card or the board. If the answer is yes Nvidia should work fine then I will test it using my Razer enclosure, but, if not then I want to troubleshoot the problem before going to the trouble to swap cards around.
Basically, when I plug in the ADT/Geforce into my MacBook Pro under bootcamp I get the windows ping that it detected something, and, I sometimes even see the various drivers pop up under device manager but they then disappear and trying to install Nvidia drivers fails because it cant detect the card. I am guessing its the ADT but not sure.
Another reason I am experimenting with the Nvidia is because how poorly optimised the AMD drivers are under macOS. I get double the performance on the same card under Windows, so if I am going to be switching anyway I may just move to Nvidia to avoid the ongoing hassles with AMD under Windows.
Thanks.
@solomani, If your graphics card works through the Razer Core X Chroma, then the issue lies with the ADT-Link R43SG-TB3 connection. Make sure the cables are securely connected and it gets a good power supply.

Thanks Sage, I ended up returning it and getting a refund. I tested every possible jumper/switch combo but still got no picture. Gave up, will just get a proper enclosure.
