Hello All,
I got my Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8G eGPU working with my Macbook Pro Mid 2012 Non-Retina GT650M Laptop; however, when I put my computer to sleep, the eGPU does not turn off meaning that its lights are still on, and it's running. Also, when I wake the computer from sleep, the eGPU disconnects. How do I fix this?
Extra Info:
I'm running a UEFI version of windows on my Macbook Pro (not hybrid MBR). I did not use Bootcamp assistant to install windows but used Disk Utility to partition the solid-state drive and created a custom windows installer. I have my eGPU plugged into OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock. I installed the Bootcamp drivers that Bootcamp assistant provided and then I updated the drivers through Apple Software Update to 6.2 I believe (not sure though). I permanently uninstalled Intel Graphics 4000 and used DSDT override to get the eGPU recognized and the audio working. I have not disabled NVIDIA graphics card yet (GT650M).
Last note: the sleep/wake functionality of my eGPU works great in Mac OS X Mojave—just not in Windows Bootcamp.
Thank you for the help.
