Hi guys:)

I have my MBP 16" base model for a few days now, so I have grabbed a Razer Core X and my good old 1080TI (evga FTW3).

Boot camp installation done, sadly 1909 (didn't read the forum before).

The thing is my egpu is working fine with windows, but once I launch my game, it runs of for a few minutes, and then, glitches appears, than the game froze a bit, run again, then usually freeze with weird graphics on screen.

Checking precisionX software, nothing unusual temp wise.

Regarding the TB3 port, I have a CallDigit TS3 connected on right side, and Core X on left side, 0.5m TB3 cables.

Monitor is Acer Z321, so 144Hz gsync capable.

1080Ti connected via DP.

Could this be related to a bandwith issue?

Hum, I have tried again tonight to play total warhammer 2, and same behaviour.

What I have found though, is that every two minutes or so, there is a log in the windows logs that clearly state that nvlddmkm was not responding anymore, and that's why in game, I get that pause, games goes black screen, pop in again.

Ok even weirder, this so far happens with total warhammer 2, and not with Valiant Heart. A less demanding game, gfx wise...

I do wonder then, could it be the razer core X not powerfull enough to feed my 1080TI??

Tested with heroes of might&magic V, Tomb Raider, and no problem, this seems related to Total Warhammer 2 only so far, and it's not like if TOmb Raider was not a demanding game...hum, I'm kinda lost here:)

I'll replace the PSU for a 750W corsair one just to clear that side of the possible source of problem, and upgrade the cable for a new 2M long one (a Calldigit TB3 I think)

Hum, tomb raider is crashing now too, with nvlddmkm error. I guess there's definitely a problem with my razer Core X🙁

I have found the cullprit. I have badly re assembled my 1080TI while removing the waterblock...anyway now it rocks, I can get gsync and play in bootcamp.

I had to use Techpowerup tool to limit the cpu speed because it was running too hot and too loud, now it's not dead silent, but usable:)

gotta sell my Radeon VII now, since I won't need it:/
