System specs (2016 HP Spectre X360, i7-7500u, 16Gb RAM, 512 M.2 SSD, Intel HD620, 13" 1080p screen, Win 10 Pro)

eGPU hardware ( HP Omen Accelerator + GTX 980 Ti Classified + 260 Gb Sandisk SSD)

Hardware pictures https://photos.app.goo.gl/XA8ZKD3VEbmfKjtq9     https://photos.app.goo.gl/XA8ZKD3VEbmfKjtq9   )

Installation steps (Simple plug and play, after installing Nvidia Drivers. Had to install a HDMI ghost in order to accelerate internal display when away from external monitors. I had to use an adapter to use my 980 Ti Classified as it uses 8+8 plugs, and this device only has a 6+8)

Benchmarks ( https://photos.app.goo.gl/sU1UK9NbqHXqrgkh6 Using internal screen. )

Comments (I use this laptop a lot for office workloads. I also use it a lot for 3D CAD rendering, 3D Modeling, 3D Printing, Slicing. Also use it with Lightroom, GIMP and Sketchbook. The load on my CPU/GPU has dropped considerably. Temps now hover about 10 degrees cooler. I even use it for mining bitcoin when not using the PC. Sure has been a worth investment. Charging my laptop via this device has been easy, as it is barely any slower. )

Hi

Did you happen to try with games?

And did the laptop itself had any thermal problems where it got a bit hot to the touch when you use it with the E gpu?

Thank you

Sorry for the delay response.
I did try just a few games, Destiny 2, Fornite & CS.

The laptop was fan would turn on, but did not cause any throttling and the fan will turn off as well for periods of time.
