Installation steps

Installed the Radeon in the Sonnet enclosure, made very simple by the Sonnet enclosure's 3 thumbscrews to remove the case.

Connected the enclosure to the MBP via the TB cable & TB2-3 adapter, powered on the enclosure, received the prompt from macOS to log out.

Logged out, image displayed on the external monitor immediately at the login screen.

Logged in, verified details in System Information, worked beautifully!

Benchmarks

Unigine benchmarks using strict presets only, no custom settings.

Comments

Put together pretty much to upgrade my WoW experience, at existing settings (3), instantly pulled 277fps.  Very happy!  Am able to play at max detail (10) with the 3 distance sliders (env dist, clutter, objects) @ 7 and maintain over 60fps.

I find this config rather interesting, as I believe this particular Mac was the first to implement Thunderbolt, and it's now 7 years old, and still very quick and usable!  Woot!
