Honestly, I was disappointed because of the 2GT/s OPI. However, compare to stock, it is a huge performance boost. Considering I got the laptop for $400, eGPU for $100, and GTX 1060 for $60. This is the cheapest, lightest, and most versatile gaming set-up that I can get. Granted it took awhile to get things together but I am extremely satisfied and I hope it will last me through medical school.
P/s: I ran the Metro Exodus benchmark for both firmware, the difference seems to be the max framerate but the average is pretty similar.
