Setup:
Existing Windows 10 Pro install.
After first connecting the eGPU there were many black screens with lots of 'new device' sounds from Windows. Eventually I had to restart and had a minor issue where I had to remove the TB connection and reconnect it when back in Windows. After that everything seemed to be working correct.
Have newest Nvidia drivers downloaded and ready. I was using Driver version 26.21.14.4587 for all testing and installed it after the eGPU.
Also the NVidia drivers can handle the dGPU and eGPU but to rule out any issues I disabled the dGPU in Device manager and rebooted.
Benchmarks
- All benchmarks are performed on external display (2560 x 1440).
- Using the Nvidia Geforce Driver version 26.21.14.4587.
- eGPU RTX 2070 is not altered from default settings and using Firmware 1.0 as USB hub was also utilized.
