Hello everyone! Saw a few users online curious of how much performance increase eGPU would provide the HP Spectre Folio, so I thought I could help.
For workflow, before the setup I was not able to run or load 3D models in 3D programs such as Maya or Alias. After the setup, tested it for a few days and it ran without any problems so far.
For gaming, before it barely ran on lowest settings for Fortnite, and it lagged every few minutes or so. After the setup, it ran on the highest settings but still lag every once a while (I assume it's because of the weak CPU).
I personally think this setup works fine for 3D modeling environment, but I do not recommend this for gaming because of the lag. Hope this helps, cheers.
