System specs (model inc screen size, CPU, iGPU, dGPU, operating system which eGPU is being used)
The laptop is a standard T480s with 24gig of ram, 1080p screen, intel i7-8650U processor, under Win10. It is a beast, a very good machine, but unfortunately it has only 2x TB3 connector and no 4x.
Furthermore, the included chip Intel FHD 620 CANNOT DRIVE MORE THAN 3 SCREENS, which is exactly why i'm doing this: i want 4.
eGPU hardware (eGPU enclosure, video card, any third-party TB3 cable , any custom mods)
A RX 570 from Xfx luged into a Razer core X gives this laptop the possiblity to have 5 more screens, witch is a little more than what i need.
Hardware pictures
None currently, might add some later if wanted
Installation steps (what did you do to get it all going?)
This was clearly plug-and-play : Insert the GC into the enclosure, plug the TB3 cable, wait for drivers to install themselves, restart one or 2 times.. And BOOM it works and all screen light up
Benchmarks
No benchmark since i'm just looking a terminals, code and web with this beast. I needed the screen real estate but NOT the Gpu power.
Comments
Its perfect now i can hook up every screen i want if i someday decide i need more.
