@buh_khuu doesn’t matter IIRC. I just used the resources view IIRC.

@mac_editor hi, just wondering if you had any benchmarks for 1440p on battlefield 5? I'm having 40-50fps in 1440p (no matter the settings) with a macbook pro late 2018 + Aorus 1070 gaming box (external monitor). Looking at other benchmarks for the 1440p it's around 80fps for a desktop, didn't think there would be this much of a performance loss.

Even the unigine superposition benchmark only gets 40fps at 1440p which is a bit rough.

Pending: Add my system information and expected eGPU configuration to my signature to give context to my posts

I can provide you quite a number of Superposition benchmarks for 1440p on different cards and setups. Which preset? (High?).

I don't have Battlefield 5 though, but some other games. Slightly overclocked GTX980Ti should perform equal to GTX1070.

@shd123 Don't have that game, sorry. FWIW, IIRC I was able to push 60 (V-SYNC) at 1440p on BattleField 1.

@mac_editor Based on your setup for accelerated internal display on bootcamp, is it possible to use the remaining ports for Keyboard, mouse, external hdd, USB 3.0 hub etc., once I've booted into desktop, right after successfully hot plugging the Aorus 1070 egpu during the spinning circles ? Does it crash?

Also, what was your experience with the thunderbolt ports on the left side for egpu? What sort of issues should I expect?

@jiann_yeh Using USB over eGPU should be possible, but I did not try/use it personally.

I recall the top-left side port did not work in some cases, but generally using left-side ports should be ok.

@mac_editor Thanks for clearing that up. However instead of USB over egpu, what about usb over the remaining thunderbolt ports (through the use of a USB-C to USB3.0 adaptor)?

Again, assuming that you have booted into desktop, after hot plugging the Aorus 1070 egpu during the spinning circles.
