Setup has been working great for the last few days. Since the main purpose for me is just making all my three monitors works as extended screens, it did a great job.
And Razer Core X with Rx580 is very quiet, the sound of fan can be easily ignored.
Although macOS requires hot plugging, it's OK for me. And I guess the cold-plugging freeze issue can be fixed, but I'm lazy ... (thanks @arshit_singh
After using eGPU, the temperature of my MacBook Pro also decrease (a bit).
In summary, this works great for me!
@huan_he, Do you know the fix for cold plugging egpu freeze issues? I can't seem to find it anywhere
Thanks a ton!
To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
.@arshit_singh, oh, sorry for my mistake ... I read some posts related to this issue ( https://egpu.io/forums/bootcamp/21-5-imac-2019-error-43-with-dgpu-on-cold-boot-disabling-resolution-change-on-egpu-every-time-help-needed/ ) and guess this issue can be fixed, but not sure if it works. Hope others may help.
