15" 2019 MacBook Pro with 2.4ghz i9
Bootable windows external SSD
eGPU hardware
Installation steps (what did you do to get it all going?)
This is basically a copy paste of what I did when trying to setup up a 2017 MacBook pro:
1. Install windows to an external SSD (latest 2004 on insider is fine)
2. Install bootcamp and upgrade to latest
3. DDU bootcamp drivers
4. install Adrenalin April 2020 Edition from bootcampdrivers.com
5. install modified apple_set_os.efi v0.5 to the external SSD EFI partition (thank you @itsage for the hint)
6. Connect the monitor via a bidirectional DisplayPort -> USB-C cable
7. Plug in the eGPU to TB port #1 (lower left) and boot up EFI
8. Couple restarts and we're in
Comments (eg: how has the eGPU improved your workflow or gaming)
Currently can't get thunderbolt3 video output to work. The speakers come up, but I can't seem to get the video output to go through BM eGPU pro TB3 cable. Note that in the 2017" MacbookPro thread, that worked straight out of the box
@swistak, Thunderbolt 3 monitor output from dGPU in Windows is possible but to get it working concurrently with the eGPU is a challenge. Adding the external SSD to the mix is another resource to worry about.

I'm not trying to get the video output form the dGPU, I'm trying to get the eGPU to display over TB3 like it does on the 2017 MBP (exactly same setup, I'm even reusing the windows boot drive between these two - hence the external SSD)
