Installation steps
After wasting hours the only way to get the card going is to install windows 10 insider and switch to the dev channel, install the bootcampdrivers.com drivers (I installed the December reds) and follow this tutorial:
https://egpu.io/forums/bootcamp/macbook-pro-16-windows-egpu-error-12-fix/
Any other procedure led me to error 12

I only play in 4k, I am not very satisfied with the performance, compared to a desktop system it seems to me to lose 30/40%.
Shadow of tombraider 4k @ max settings reaches 45 / 50fps.
Cyberpunk with high details makes 40/45 fps.
I thought the problem was the cpu, but I did a lot of tests even changing the turboboost but I didn't have any improvements. I use macs-fan-control to keep the fans high so I never throttle
I don't understand if these low performances are due to the bottleneck of the tb3 or some of my wrong configuration. Before I had an RTX2060, this is certainly much better but getting it to work on windows is really hell.
@mini-i5, Thanks for the reply! why do you think the fps are so far from the benchmarks done on desktop?
@manu89ft, They aren’t.

here for example I see data where they are so far away, am I wrong to read them?
Anyone playing on a desktop system needs to drop down to Medium settings to get higher frame rates.
@manu89ft, Hello, have you tried any other graphic intensive applications like video editing with this system?

.Hello @ben-wee! no just games, if you know any benchmarks you are interested in the results tell me I do it without problems!
Hi. thats very kind thanks. I am just using FCPx and possibly davinci resolve. both editing software. I have a similar 16 machine to yours but my graphics card is the 8gb version. I bought a razer core x chroma and was looking to put the msi radeon 6800 gaming trio in it, but read somewhere that it would be a futile exercise with the 16 inch models. Then i saw your post. i do have the older touch 13 and and 15 which may benefit from an egpu, but i was wondering if i could use the same set up on all my machines without it slowing down the 16... if that makes any sense...

.Wow... Those numbers seem very low for a 6900XT. I was thinking to get one, but I would hope for a lot more fps than that.
is the cyberpunk fps with ray tracing?
