Nice to see the MX450 easily crush the Xe because you wouldn't know it just from looking at the specs. First time I've seen them directly pitted against each other in the same notebook. Intel's big IGPs win the spec sheets as usual but Nvidia knows how to design a better performing GPU

Thank You for the response and Your offer for support!
I found Your post via Google, but I should definitely look more around in this forum!

Lenovo Thinkpad E14 + Sonnet Breakaway 550 + Nvida GTX 1080 (it works, but it is still a POC at this moment).

E14 gen 2 Intel got m.2 2280 slot pcie 4.0 x4 right?

So Can it use for r43sg 4.0 for full bandwidth ?

Thinkpad E14 Gen 2 Intel & R43SG 4.0 ( m.2 nvme 4.0 2280 ), Dell DA-2, And waitting for RTX 3050 ( low TDP for inCar playing )

@tung_tung, for a PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot as 11th-gen or newer Intel CPU systems may have, use ADT-Link R43SG 4.0.

eGPU Setup 1.35    •    eGPU Port Bandwidth Reference Table

2015 15" Dell Precision 7510 (Q M1000M) [6th,4C,H] + GTX 1080 Ti @32Gbps-M.2 (ADT-Link R43SG) + Win10 1803 // compares M.2 vs TB3 performance inc unoptimized H-CPU BIOS [build link]

@boltoway, You ran it on your Storage pcie 3.0 or 4.0

Did you try it on Pcie 4.0 devices?

I'm planning purchase r43SG 4.0 for rtx 3080Ti

But i'm confused its work as pcie 4.0 ?

@tung_tung, without someone testing a PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD to confirm as we do not know how the M.2 slot is configured in this system.

What we do know is that R43SG 4.0 (specced for PCIe 4.0) has higher grade cable than R43SG (not 4.0 version - specced for PCIe 3.0).

If you are going to try a M.2 NVME eGPU then it is the eGPU adapter with best chance of working at PCIe 4.0.

R43SG 4.0 costs only a few more $$ than R43SG (not 4.0), well worth it for better cable which helps if used on a PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 M.2 slot.

@, Yeah! thanks you

But I've not bought the GPU, so if it'll get good bandwitdh, i'll get higher GPU

Because it's take almost a month to shipping to my place, so i think i need to find some more specs for good.

@tung_tung

I only used PCIe 3.0 in mine. I never tested 4.0.

It is listed as being 4.0 in the manual, which you can find here.

Yes, i got it.

will test for R43SG 4.0 then report here again,

And one thing this laptop very impressive by good price, just single channal ram is not well,

i think single ram Iris XE iGPU almost useless, older game is good, but some game is very bad
