Installation steps
It was surprisingly simple. I just plugged my eGPU into my laptop, it took 1-2mins to automatically install everything (I suppose?), before I get a prompt to restart my system. I don't really have any steps on how to get it set up. It just works.
UPDATE: Turns out I faced some trouble. After connecting my eGPU, my dGPU had code 31. This was a problem as when unplugged, the power button was orange and not white (means dGPU was being used), and I was getting at most 4 hours of battery life. I had to manually reinstall the drivers from device manager > properties > update driver > browse my computer for drivers > let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer > look for the drivers for my dGPU. After doing this, its all good. Installation wasn't as smooth as I thought.
Benchmarks
Comments
Haven't really tested out gaming on it yet, but the most GPU intensive game I play is Borderlands 3. Will update some benchmarks on it soon.
UPDATE: Got an average of 65fps on medium settings in Borderlands 3 benchmark.
@shiinakawaii, Thank you for sharing this build with the i7-1185G7. Looking forward to seeing your experience with Borderlands 3.
