Interface benchmarks
i'm not a english speaker.
so I just post some data, and the comparison for TB4 (Razer Core X)
All tests are run on external monitor(4k 60)
both interface (PCIe M.2 and TB4) get a same score for 3dMark(19XXX)

Game Benchmarks for internal display
1080p@300hz
because no Advanced Optimus Function for eGPU,all graphics are port form iGPU.
This caused a lot of latency , very unfriendly for high fps games.
no recommend for internal display.

@ruxi_wang, You have a powerful eGPU setup in your hands. If your laptop have optimus, have you tried to disable to see if increase your framerate ingame? Great build

hi!
i can't disable optimus on my laptop
but I already connect the external monitor directly :)
@ruxi_wang, that's something really powerful for a laptop. Finally can see a 4.0 x4 eGPU performance and its really does improve the overall performance. Awesome build!
@ruxi_wang - thank you.
I can see you have your 2.5inch SSD in external enclosure. My laptop (Razer Blade Pro 2017) has 2 x M2 slots with 2 x 512gb ssd. So I am planning of upgrading to 1tb SSD (in one of the M2 ports) and connecting eGPU to second M2 port.
I just need to understand if there is any difference between the two ports - to decide where to keep the SSD and where to connect the eGPU.
To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
.@ares2007, i think you have both PCIe3.0 m2 slot,no difference
you can download the Crystalinfo to see you PCIe Transfer Mode for you SSD
Great build, thanks for sharing. I’m also looking at a setup like this for my 2020 Aorus 17.
Is there a reason you didn’t go with thunderbolt 3 for the connection?
thanks in advance.,
Nosbod

.@nosbod, 64Gbps-M.2 (PCIe M.2 4.0) benchmarks noticably faster across the board than 32Gbps-TB4. Control nearly twice faster:
Control(1080p all ultra dlss off):
PCIE M.2 4.0: TB4: Control_DX12.exe benchmark completed, 2241 frames rendered in 32.562 s

@nando4, Thanks, got it! I still like the easy portability of the laptop. Just wondering if it’s as easy/convenient to disconnect from the ADT as the TB.
I guess if not, the performance increase is is still probably worth the hassle!
