@fotoroman, everything max, DLSS is a big win. Red Dead Redemption 2 couldn't run max because of the small 10GB GPU memory.

I did not monitor fps, probably around 45.

Battlefield 2042 running 4k max with average 40fps. I still use the setup with additional M.2-TB3 adapter because of portability and no error 43. The severe performance cut of the GPU is not too big of an issue with current games.

@4567-dll, consider using the new JHH-Link Dock-M.2 NVMe eGPU adapter with detachable connector, to achieve portable & best performance. You'd need to reveal the cable via a small underside cut and secure it down on say the back of your LCD with velcro. A shorter 25cm cable giving smallest footprint if long enough to reach your video card.
