Hello folks!
I tried a new setup.
System specs:
- 14" HP Elitebook 840 G6 (i5-8265U, 8GB RAM, Windows 10 2004), Intel UHD 620
eGPU hardware:
- Akitio Node with AMD RX 5700 XT (connected trought CallDigit TS3 Plus)
I had many problems (error 12, error 43) with the previous build of Windows (1903). So I decided to update it to the 2004 build and... it worked fine at the first boot!
Benchmarks:
UPDATE: I just updated my VALLEY benchmark with setting 2xAA in order to compare with my original setup (MacBookPro). I added AIDA64 values.
@jefniro , can you pls post some pictures so we see what it all looks like?

These HP 830/840 G5/6 laptops work so well with eGPUs. I hotplug mine, wake up from sleep after plugging in an nvidia card all day long and never have any issues. I do have the RX540 model but even that doesn't cause any issues.
having half thunderbolt bandwidth doesn't really have hurt performance that much when not using the internal display. Just got Cold war zombies and it runs fab.
I'd recommend undervolting (latest BIOS that can is 1.08.01 and HP allows downgrading), that'll really help!
