Kaby Lake system. Seems to work like it should. Also getting powered from the XG Station 2, so don't need to use one of the TB3 ports for that. Next up: Dual eGPU with Node.

Nice setup! I'm thinking of trying something very similar although I'm waiting for the Omen Accelerator to come out next month. How is the performance gaming wise? I'm wondering just how much of a bottleneck the CPU is going to be... is going full out on 1080 TI worth it? Have you tried any 4k gaming?

Not much of a gamer, sorry, haha 😀

I did try Titanfall on a 21:9 34UM95 I just picked up. And it ran great on high settings at 3440x1440. So yeah, it rocks!

Mainly need it for rendering, but haven't had time to do so yet. Still away on holidays. Juuuuuust had to try one game before I left, though. And it looked great.

Can't really say if a 1080 TI is actually overkill, though. Also haven't tried 4K.

hi, have you had time to do some rendering or gaming already?

Im really interested on how it is good on gaming and rendering comparing to desktop or laptops with 1080 or 1070
