Another day, another setup. This time I managed to snag a custom Akitio Node with a 700w PSU and EKWB Vardar Fan already built in. I put in a Powercolor Vega 56 and went to town with some benchmarks.

No surprise it outperform's the 1070, but to bad you wont find these for MSRP anywhere. The one big suprise is how mature AMD XConnect drivers are. If you compare these scores to a desktop setup, there is no loss of performance.

My Win installation details are in my previous build: https://egpu.io/forums/builds/mid-2017-15-macbook-pro-rp560-gtx-1080-ti-mantiz-venus-win10-hipisean/

Since I don't have a 13" I'm not sure how much I can help but here's a quick rundown. Since you don't have a discrete gpu you won't have to disable that. Try every single thunderbolt port. Front left works well on my 2017 but that's different from my 2016 so try booting it with connected to each port. Install drivers from device manager if your having trouble installing from their included software(error 173). To update AMD Crimson Relive I used drivers from bootcampdrivers. On my setup I have to use refind and apple_set_os.efi to boot with iGPU active but you shouldn't have to since you've got the 13" model.
