Hey guys finally upgraded my laptop with an external GPU
CPU:6700hq
RAM 24gb
128gb SSD
1tb HDD
gtx 970m
Steps to getting it to work.
1) Upgraded to latest Bios E16H7IMS.117
2)updated the thunderbolt drivers.
Software package 17.3.74.400
Application Version 17.3.74.11
Thunderbolt generation 1575
NVM 16.00 (cant find away to upgrade this as MSI doesn't have drivers available for this make of laptop)
3)plug the akitio to laptop install firmware.
4) install latest drivers for EGPU card.
5)Disable internal 970m via device manger.
All seems to be work, I seem to get around 60 fps for most games at 1080p on ultra settings.
