Thinkpad x1 yoga gen 2, i7 7600-u, intel hd 620, Samsung pm981, 16gb ram, windows 10.
Very simple install/setup.
What surprised me the most, was that once assembled, the Razer Core x was detected after about 10 seconds, and my monitors came on, without anything on my part.
I installed the drivers and EVGAs software shortly after. CUDA scores look good.
I had been running a Dell TB-16 dock prior and it was serving me pretty well, but any intensive usage was maxing out my laptop. DaVinci was pretty difficult to use, and gaming was difficult, and multi monitors was also a task. I use this for a lot of general work/school duty, so I have videos, programs, chrome, word, etc all open as I am integrating a lot of information, and that was pushing the limit. As well, real video and photo editing was a chore, and I do have a DSLR I like to work with photo/video.
I have yet to do a proper bench, but tested in DaVinci and had considerably better results.
