Why?

I wanted to see if the Thunderbolt aic would be any faster than built in thunderbolt in a laptop

TLDR?

no

eGPU hardware

Razer core x containing a gtx 780ti (gtx 690 tested but likely forced incompatibility because "sli requires x8" [tldr didnt work])

Installation steps

I plugged the thunderbolt card into a chipset pcie slot, plugged the usb and tb3 header into the motherboard, turn on,
Downloaded drivers from gigabyte's website, restart
after that any gpu (that works) is plug and play

Benchmarks (I wont be benchmarking games because im lazy)

Comments

nope still regular bandwidth (on the 780ti)

i wanted the 690 to work because it confuses aida64 as follows (most likely due to the Pcie switch onboard [no the 9900k does not have 49GB/s of bandwidth])
