Hi Igor,

what connection do you use - is it TBT3 or TBT2?

what's the GPU?

Hello! Thanks for your interest!

First i apologize for my English, but i'll try to be as understandable, as i can, and answer all your questions.

There are two types of photos: with new GPU - GTX1060 6G (windforce) from GIGABYTE, and old broken GPU without a cooler (these photos were made much more earlier and i posted them for you can see my case in perspective).

So, as i said, now in my hand-built case you can see mPCIE version EXP GDC v8.3 (so i connect it to my laptop Lenovo Y580 via mPCIE) . The sizes of this case are: 350mm *160 mm * 160 mm. All cases that i saw before has two critical lacks - you need to place somewhere PSU for your eGPU and use small size videocard. And i decided to make all-in-one case in which you can put any standard PC PSU and GPU (even long size, about 330-340mm) together. So i wanted to make it universal.

I used aluminum corner 2m * 10mm * 10mm and one aluminum corner 1m * 10mm * 35mm for chassis, and 3 steel perforated plates for bottom (sorry, i don't remember their sizes, but a had to cut them to fit my case), and 1 sheet of aluminum 500mm * 200 mm * 0,8 mm which is used for dividing PSU compartment form GPU compartment and for front of the case. I also use 4 rubber stands (if you want i can post their photos later). All these i fastened with rivets. And for stretching wires from PSU to GPU compartment i used rubber rings (bought them in store for cars tools, DIY and so on).

If you have any additional questions feel free to ask.

If you never ask, then you will never learn

Hello IgorGIV,

I love your hand-build case for egpu. Do you mind sharing with us the final photos of your egpu case?

I'm interested in the cover.
