can anybody help
Kind of glad to know that I am not alone I seeing this issue. I have found that if you safely remove your eGPU using the Windows safely eject button. Remove the eGPU cable (I am using thunderbolt 3) then reboot it works.
If you then end up with an error code 12 issue then try my solution referred to in post: "Code 12 on XPS 13 9380" saves me repeating.
Finally good luck and let me know how you get on.
It seems that the plague has come back since my motherboard got replaced. My eGPU is working on boot every time but my CPU is throttled back to all cores at 0.40Ghz. So machine is grinding so slow.
I have tried all my previous tricks and not one is shifting the CPU limiter. If I uninstall all of my audio devices the cpu climbs back up but once they are all back its stuck at 0.40Gz again.
If you get any luck with yours please let me know.
Did you ever manage to get to the bottom of your issue? As I must of got past mine by luck and my CPU limitation seems to continue.
@james_knight, yes sir i sloved it by uninstall my integrate intel hd 520 gpu and 940m dec. gpu with an external monitor and the oldest driver for 1660 super, i tried every thing to keep intel 520 working but i cannot every time i keep it the laptop had crash, after that i had error code 43 and fixed it with nvidia error43 fixer but you should to know that after uninstalling the integrate gpu the laptop cannot play anything without the ext. monitor and egpu
Thank you for coming back to me. I will need to use the iGPU whether eGPU is not connected, but it does give me a focus in direction towards troubleshooting. So thank you.
