Has anyone tried a NUC + EGPU case like the Revocases RCC-NC1, here?  It uses the M.2 port from a NUC.

It was recently tested using a new "Tiger Canyon" NUC with PCIe 4.0 and it looks like we can connect to either the GPU or motherboard video out and not suffer a performance hit?

Discussion over here.  Does anyone know why?  Is there something special about Tiger Canyon NUC11 Pro?

This is a M.2 rather than an Thunderbolt eGPU. An example previously done at:

Can see why it performs better than the usual TB3 eGPUs in my signature build.

@nando4 - Yeah, that makes sense.  We've always known M.2 does a little better than TB because of TB overhead.   What's interesting here is that on Tiger Canyon you can connect a monitor directly to the mobo instead of the GPU and not take a performance hit.  There are some highly technical PCH DMI discussions I am vaguely recalling.  Normally, you want to connect your monitor directly to the GPU, right?  Here, we don't have to.
