what is the maximum each person could buy?

For now it's one each. I will check with Mantiz and post an update.

I would like to do it too, BUT I would like to know if the shipping customs fees are included or not. Because in Europe the customs fees are SUPER high...

That's why I'm reluctant too. I'm Dutch myself, and it might be a bargain at 300 dollars but according to their website shipping is also 80 dollars. With 21% VAT added to that It'd be 425,74 euros I believe (but I'm no expert). Since the Akitio node is priced at 400 euros and under it will probably still be cheaper, sadly.

I will ask Mantiz to provide a rough estimate on shipping.

I am pretty sure that if an importer does its job, it will be much cheaper than a group buy for some people like me. It is because importing something in Europe is super high (I am in Spain). Where I live is 21% VAT + another 4% custome fee when is more than 150 euro in electronic stuff. So roughly, I can estimate to spend more than 437 euro, which is 475 dollars (300$ + 80$ shipping + 21% vat + 4% custom fee = 475$, and counting than the courier does its job doing the custom papers stuff, if not it is more than 40$ more...).

If amazon (or another distributor) is in the loop, I am sure, that it will be much less than that. I am pretty sad.

Example: getting the Node with B&H, they handle the whole thing with customs, which, even if it is too expensive, they handle it, and in less than a week you have it at home (having it in stock), and not need to pay more in customs. Look into the attachments (even if the costs of the Node is 269, the total with the shipping costs and handling is 406.81, which is less that 375 euros, with shipping costs included).

If the costs were in total less than 400 euro (434$), I will buy it, without any doubt. If they could do something with customs here, I am on it, without any doubt.

EDIT: why I talked about an importer? Easy, an importer can handle perfectly the customs costs, and the VAT. For that reason, you don't need to pay VAT twice (in the country of origin and in the imported one), and the shipping costs will be much less and without customs fees.

With the approx. price tag of 699$ the Asus ROG XG Station 2, the costs in Spain, in a regular importer is 544 euro (591$ final price), which is MUCH less. Even though the Asus one is super expensive for my pocket (and ugly as hell IMHO), and that's why I am taking a look in other options...
