Hello, I am new member of this community. I have to say that I am really positively surprised with you and grateful for all the materials I already found here.
I came here because I want to connect Intel NUC with eGPU.

I am interested in two NUC variants:

Intel® NUC Kit NUC7i5DNHE

It has these two M.2 slots:
M.2 Card Slot (wireless)  22x30 (key E) slot (PCIe x1)
M.2 Card Slot (storage)  22x80 (key M) slot (PCIe x4)

Intel® NUC Kit NUC7i7BNH
GPU could be connected using the Thunderbolt connector, and the other option is connecting it with the M.2 slot.

I understood that eGPU could be connected to M.2 key E with some kind of adapter, but I haven't find any adapters or configurations running it.
I want to check it here. Can I do it with this M.2 enclosure link ?

Is it possible to connect it to the other M.2 slot with initial storage purpose? (I've seen this build configuration with some other NUC versions, just want to check it with these two.)

I have a question about that error 43 with Nvidia 10xx cards. Is there a problem with Linux OS also? I saw some fix on the forum, but I'm not sure if I should still be bothered with it?

Hey,

I am completely new to EGPUs and needed a bit of help with some compatibility.  I am trying to find an EGPU for my Dell Latitude E6430 (specs down below).  There is a desktop GPU converter on amazon known as the EXP GDC, which can connect to my laptop via express card.  After I get this connected, I need a desktop GPU and I found a GTX 1050 on walmart (link down below for exact card).  Will this card work with the EXP GDC and will it work with the internal screen of the laptop? I do not want to have to plug in an external monitor to edit video as my desk is too small for a full sized laptop, monitor and keyboard.  I also listed 2 GPUs, so if the first one is not compatible, what about the second one?

Here are the specs of my PC:
Core I7 processor @3.00 MHz x64 bit
8.00 gb RAM
Intel HD 4000 graphics
Windows 7 pro 64 bit

Amazon link for EXP GDC:

GPU from Walmart I was talking about:

Back up GPU (this is for if the first one does not work

Thank you so much for all the help!

So... I have a 2014 gaming notebook, it's MSI GE62 2QD Apache with GTX 960m, so instead of buy new PC/Notebook, i would try to put this mPCI e-gpu with GTX 1060 3GB (i havent decide what brand and what type i would use, probably the dual fan), so my questions are, Can i use this on my laptop? Would all brand and type worked on egpu? And would there be much bottleneck? Thank you

I have tried 1060 6gb, 1080 and now 1080 ti. All works fine on my 2012 laptop Asus X75VD. I have no trouble with bottleneck. But it is best with external display

By the way.. I would definitely consider buying the 1080 or 1080 ti.

Hey guys, since the bandwidth of minipcie/ec is a big bottleneck, I am curious if I can use both slot to connect to a single graphics card? Which means add a HDMI 1-2 extension cable between them. Is it possible?

Hi every body,
Im realy interested on doing this to my lpatop Lenovo z580, I just want to be sure about my suggested setup before purchasing everything.

Lenovo Ideapad z580 , Core i7-3632QM , 8gb ram, Nvidia 635m, intel hd4000, windows 10 home, 1tb Samsung Evo 850 pro ssd.

PCIe PCI-E EXP GDC 8.5c (Mini PCI-E interface Version)

Gpu: Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 580 8GB.

for the PSU, I didn't decide until now, but I'll go with 550w or 650w from CORSAIR OR EVGA.

Do you think my setup will work without any problem.
Your comments and recommendation will be highly appreciated..

ThanksK

Hey guys, I been doing some research about EXP GDC and I keep wondering whether my upgrade will be working or not.

I planned to follow this guide:
This is not my video, just for my guide.

Here my spec :
17-4710HQ (4th Gen)
12GB Ram
GTX 850m 2GB
Window 10 64-bit

Want to upgrade using :
EXP GDC 8.5c (Mini PCI-E)
MSI GTX 1080 ti
Corsair CX750M

Here's my question :
1. Do EXP GDC support GTX 1080 ti and is it worth it? What driver should I install first to remove error 43?
2. What is the best graphics card for EXP GDC? I'm talking about performances lose like sharing bandwidth.
3. What other things that I might prepare for this upgrade?
