Dedicated GPU Memory / Did I do something wrong? / GPU Not Running Smoothly
firstly, let me say thank you for this forum. I already learned a lot. I'm a complete newbie so some things that are obvious to you might not be to me. Please point them out so I can learn what I may improve.
The issue with my build is that with my new GPU (8GB Zotac NVidia GeForce GTX 1070 Amp! Extreme)I am getting fewer frames and a more stuttery image in FPS than with my integrated GPU (2GB NVidia GeForce 930MX) at the same graphics settings.
I've tried to identify the reason but I do not quite understand what the issue is.
Installing the GPU and driver went well after deactivating Windows BitLocker but I am not sure whether I am running the unit at its full potential.

I've had a look at the task manager tab for my new GPU and noticed that the "Dedicated GPU Memory" is mostly only at 0.8-1.4 of 8.0 GB with a utilisation percentage of ~20% when idle and 80-100% when in an FPS game. Unfortunately, I do not have the knowledge to interpret those figures.

What do these stats tell me? Is there a way to increase that "Dedicated GPU Memory" while keeping the utilisation percentage moderate? Are those figures relevant at all? Could I have missed an important step during the setup that now won't let me run the eGPU at its full potential?
In any way, thank you very much for your time and help.
