The Microsoft surface pro 4 is my laptop, and I love everything about it, except the GPU side as it uses Intel integrated graphics.  As my surface supports USB c, but not Thunderbolt, my choice is very limited. I then decided to look on iFixit site the inner look of my laptop and I discovered that there's an m.2 ssd. I was wondering if I can use a splitter to have on one side the ssd in my laptop and to connect an m.2 to PCI Express converter. Can it work? Is there a better way?

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
