@wiselyzzz

what AMI firmware were you using?

edit: what AMI firmware does your UEFI/BIOS have?

Do you mean the version of BIOS?

P.S: I am so sorry for replying too long. I was waiting for the USB SPI programmer. The tool is not even arrived yet. It is almost a week and it is driving me crazy. Need to fix my laptop ASAP.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@wiselyzzz i saw your posts at Voltground and the thing is that the guy over there explained you how to do it,there is two proper  tutorials on top of that page ,the same guy helped your buddy Ajayaja with the same problems but i guess he didn't learn a thing from it and you kept listening to the wrong person instead of at least read those tutorials makes me believe that no one here or anywhere else can help you.Good luck,looks like you have a hard road ahead of you.....or just buy yourself newer laptop with TB3 ,the chances over there to brick the laptop are slim to none(it's plug and play).

To be honest, I have a very little knowledge about this stuff. Also, ajay managed to help me far. He even told me he was not sure and asked me to seek help for jcd in voltground. His case and my case are slighty different but still my case is more complicated. It is very hard road ahead. I don't know how I can fix this. I am still waiting for SPI USB programmer to arrive. I hope it works.

My brick was completely different, I bricked it by flashing with AFUWIN open and Fptfw.

The tutorials were followed, and they did not work. The brick was from a last ditch attempt to get it working, it was pretty frustrating that it wasn't.

Also, I really didn't know what to do about flashing the original bios. I was worried about it, but decided against better judgement to just try it.

Fixing a bricked bios is pretty easy luckily, so that's good. Hopefully with the actually updated bios installed properly it should work. (Right now the worst part is waiting for the parts to ship :))

Anyways, just trying to help people because jcd and others on the forum can be pretty busy helping others.
