Good day everyone. I am having a problem to install the nvidia driver. Everytime I am trying to install the Nvidia driver, my laptop will suddenly restart and start automatic repair. What I did was disabled the dedicated GPU, run DDU in safe mode then I proceed to plug in my eGPU setup. My laptop would recognise it as Windows Basic Display Adapter but when I try to install the nvidia driver so the card will be detected, my laptop will suddenly restart and i can't seem to work this thing around. Any suggestions? I tried new and older nvidia driver but nothing seems to work.

Laptop Specs :

Acer Predator Helios 300 2018

i7-7700

gtx 1060 6gb

Egpu :

450w PSU

R43SG M.2

GTX1070 G1

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@idris_fahmi, Try to plug your eGPU when the laptop is booting. if this not work. Try to put your laptop in suspension mode, then plug eGPU and turn on your pc again. If it was recognized proceed to install drivers.
