I am at my wits end, I have scoured the internet looking for my problem to no avail, when I boot up my EGPU (GDC beast btw) to my t430, everything is fine, I saw a thread that said to run in UEFI mode so it would get past the windows logo and that works fine, but now whenever I run just about ANY graphics-intensive game, its guaranteed to crash maybe 5 minutes into gameplay (i can play games like superhot, but not Forza horizon) I didn't always have this problem, but I can't find out what changed or if I somehow changed something that made it this way.

Specs:
Lenovo T430 (not T430s)
8gb ddr3
3320m processor
GTX 960
GDC beast V8.0

PLEASE HELP!

P.S. I don't really care about this, but the laptop REFUSES to hotplug, it requires me to completely shut it off and start it up after plugging it in to even recognize it in device manager.

Hi, I have a ASUS K45A, 16GB of ram, windows 8.1 pro, Intel core 15-320m.
A Few months ago, 2 months to be more specifically, I bought a Exp GDC mPCIe to install my GTX 750 ti. At first it was pretty easy, "plug and play".
yesterday I formated my windows 8.1 pro and tried to install my GTX 750 ti, but I got "error 12", yes I did everything to solve this problem, I used those steps: https://egpu.io/forums/expresscard-mpcie-m-2-adapters/mpcieecngff-m2-resolving-detection-bootup-and-stability-problems/
After hours with no success, I did a clean install of windows, no success either. Now it is worse because my device manager can't even detect my EXP GDc.
Must be something with my BIOS or something else? because it was working fine for 2 months, before I reinstall windows 8.1 pro.
I hope you guys could help me, thx.

- Yes, everything is working fine, the GPU, OS, mPCIe etc.

ASUS K45A. RAM: 16GB. i5-320m

I did install the error 43 patch fixer then after first try it worked but I had to disconnect from the beast because I had go somewhere shut down my computer then turn it back on again after a while then connect to the beast thought to play some games but when checked on device manager to see if my gtx 1070 is still functional instead I still got error 43 on the graphics card.Tried redownload nvidia driver then run the patch but this time instead of work but it says it still got error. It wasn’t like this in the first try.The second try failed miserably.I don’t know what to do can you please guide me?

The story goes that I once got it working the first time but when I started my game which is call of duty black ops 3,my Laptop ran into trouble.Blue screen appears, the windows restarts then I have to redo everything from the beginning.

First,I used the Display Driver Installer to uninstall the current  nvidia driver. Then I forced shut down my laptop then turn back on.Then I reinstalled the driver, clicked restart computer when prompted, then I downloaded the error 43 fix script. This time it says it’s been fixed so I checked by right clicking on the desktop to open up the nvidia control panel but it wasn’t there. When I checked on device manager and click on display adapter then double click on my display card icon,it still reads “Error 43”.

I did this a few more times but it always says fixed but it never is.It wasn’t like this the first time. The second time third time it lied to me.

Is it because of my computer specs or is it because of the beast device.

I use Lenovo y40-70,4 cores,display card is R9 275M,16 gigs of ram.Connect to Exp Gdc Beast v8.0.Using GTX 1070 Inno 3D.Power supply 700 watts.

I have an exp gdc beast with a 750ti plugged into a lenovo ideapad 310 that I've been using for a few months without problem. I'm using a power supply for power.

Earlier today my laptop stopped recognizing the device. It does not show up in device manager. When I turn on the laptop, the fans spin up on both the psu and the gpu, and the original wifi card still works in the m.2 slot. I'm not sure what I changed that caused this to stop working. I can't use Nando's egpu setup to check if the mpcie port is working because the laptop uses a uefi and the disk is gpt. I am also fairly certain that the mpcie port is not whitelisted because it wasn't previously.

Does anyone have any idea why it would have stopped working so suddenly? If you need any more details I can provide them.

Hello.
My setup
Fujitsu LIFEBOOK AH532
igpu intel
dgpu GT640L
ASUS GTX 1650 OVER EXP GDC 8.4 ExpressCard
Script not working for me.
After running the nvidia-error43-fixer script, the screen freezes but the system works (numlock LED responds). If unplug the card then the screen restore.
Reboot not helping if I connect card screen freeze. Try newest drivers and old drivers use DDU but not helping.

Hello guys. I have Thinkpad T430 + AMD Radeon r9 280x 3GB, + EXP GDC 8.5c (Expresscard) + PSU Thermaltake ATX 550W TR2 S 80+, so i play games on internal display. I have two problems:

1) Sometimes games freezes and crush. Sometimes with Windows too. I noticed what that problems coincides with turning on the refrigerator in other room, but i am not sure.

2) Sometimes bus speed drop from 2x to x1, so i lost 10+ FPS in Subnautica, for example. With my i5-3320m fps drops below 30, very uncomfortable.

Any suggestions? I will be very grateful.

I have ideapad 330s 15ikb got my gtx 970 hooked up to beast first time this weekend i think i got lucky. Played games all weekend but it was buggy started more research and found setup1.35 so i purchased it. Got it Sunday went to install and noticed i couldn't so i completely reformatted converted my gpt to mbr went to email from nando to redownload setup1.35 but my access was restricted. Im in thr process of trying to contact him so i can download and get it setup but once i do i will let you know if it's worth the time to convert to mbr or not. I suspect since i had my rig running and somewhat working that it will be worth it.

Just to reiterate i am kind of in the same boat you are with similar machines and issues. Im working a lot of overtime right now so don't have tons of time but damn id like to play some apex legends right now with my egpu!!

I may just buy a thunderbolt 3 box but i just can't really afford it right now

Lenovo ideapad 330s 15ibk
20gb ram
500 gb crucial ssd
Intel i3 8th gen
Exp gdc 8.4
Gtx 970 with 500w power supply
Win 10

Hello everybody,

I hope I can get help here.

I have a Dell XPS 17 L702 X with modded A19 Bios.
I7 / 16GB RAM / HD3000 / Nvidia GT555m

I have been trying for 2 days to get an EXP GDC Beast 8.5c running on a GTX960 Palit Jetstream 550 W PSU ATX, but without success. I can set Toloud in bios, have all the values tested. Windows is installed in legacy mode.

1st picture remains black at the boot -> delay, sometimes it does not work sometimes
2. Hot plugging in operation -> Image turns red nothing is happening
3. Hot Plugging Disable / Enable does not work either

If the card is then recognized, I get an Error 12 and DSDT Override did not work for me.

I hope someone has an idea / instructions how I get the thing running. thank you for your help

Hello there, a week ago I've bought the exp gdc 8.5c via expresscard for my hp zbook 15" after a bit of a struggle, I managed to get it to work, well sort of, my gpu, a GTX 690 4gd5 was detected by windows in device manager. The funny thing, the only way my bios will boot was if I removed the ec from the slot, and then plug it back in right after the logo shows. Some sort of ec hot plugging if I may say it like that. Then I got the error 12 in device manager, took me a while to find that tutorial about dsdt override, and in the meanwhile I was out of town for some business came back to find my ec connection cable damaged by my dog. Recently I bought from amazon a mini pci-e to hdmi cable because I couldn't find a standalone ec cable only to find out that my gpu is not detected at all. As I mentioned before the only way my bios will boot it's if my exp gdc its turned off, and then turned back on, I have read some posts here and there about hotplug option in bios, but my bios does not have that option. At this point I really don't know what else to do, I have tried many settings in windows/bios even changed the psu, thought it's not enough juice for the gpu. Any reply it's appreciated. Thank you for your time.

@viktorhnu - Dual-GPU cards work poorly, if at all, as eGPUs. I tried to make a GTX690 work across three different systems, over mPCIe, Thunderbolt1 and Thunderbolt3. The most I got out of it was getting it to run a single GPU, making the GTX690 into a GTX680. SLI never worked right. I'd suggest you use a different card.

I understand, I was thinking about this, but the thing is, in device manager when it used to work via ec it was showing me gtx 690 twice, at first I thought that is a bug or something, but apparently i didn't knew that gtx 690 its a dual gpu, I will try another card this week, and come back with the result. Thank you very much for taking your time to reply to my problem.

@viktorhnu - Yeah, it shows up twice since is is essentially two cards in one, and thus two chips, each one enumerated on the PCIe separate from the other. Typically one might work, while the other is going to suffer some error code, or both will work, but SLI won't....these things are a headache, unfortunately. I hope you have better luck with your next card.

Error 43 fixer got my setup working!

Panasonic CF-19 MK6

i5-3320m @3.3ghz

8GB ram

1050ti through EXP GDC Expresscard.

Unfortunately performance is terrible. I understand using the internal monitor gives a performance hit but still a little disappointed. It seems I am limited by the expresscard slot from getting any further boost in performance?

Hi,

I have a T430 and I wonder, do I have to remove the mPCIe whitelist before I can use an eGPU though the mPCIe slot?

I'm asking because it has become a pain in the @ss to remove this whitelist since BIOS version 2.82+. Can't do it without a reflash.

Thanks.

So did I, but apparently my new card, a gtx 1060 6gb version, won't be detected in device manager as well, with the card inserted in the exp gdc my laptop won't boot, so I turned down the power from the psu and once my hp logo show I turned it back on, I don't know where's the issue now, any advice please?
