"my settup" : Intel core i5 4200H

SSD 240 (master/OS)
GTX 860M but now i have GTX 1060 3GB
I have a GTX 1050ti connected to a laptop using EXP GDC Express Card adapter. This setup is hotplug capable as reported by HWiNFO. It's currently working well with driver version 375.70, but I get error code 43 if I upgrade to any of the newer drivers (I last tested 390.77).
I skimmed through this thread, but it seems to apply to setups where hotplug is not enabled. Has anyone come up with a process for installing recent drivers for use with GTX 1050ti connected with Express Card where hot plug is working?
Running the script fixed the problem for me: https://egpu.io/forums/expresscard-mpcie-m-2-adapters/script-nvidia-error43-fixer/
I'm now running the latest drivers for a ExpressCard-attached 1050ti
I've recently managed to install a nvidia geforce 9300ge with the expresscard and the exp gdc. Firstly i had the errror 12 problem, no worries I installed the custom DSDT, but then I got the error 43 in both video cards (intel hd4000 and nvidia). I tried disabling the intel one and after a couple restarts I manged to get the nvidia card working for a couple of seconds and then it freezes.
The DSDT was installed with the TEST mode in windows. I added 7 seconds of delay for the BIOS otherwise it does not start.
I am thinking of trying other video card or maybe installing the DSDT with clover but I wanted to ask if anyone has another solution.
I reported some BSOD on my setu, the system works well, but after a time it just crashes. Today, after browsing through windows log, i found the errors related to 0x00000116 (0xffff9e8e817d82e0, 0xfffff80e86c43248, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004), anyone ever saw something like this? Between the few answers I found the answer was that this can be related to the directx or drivers. When googled the 0x116 error I found on microsoft site that this can happen due to "The GPU is taking more time than permitted to display graphics to your monitor. ", and i did noticed that when i use an external monitor everything becomes way smoothier... soo can this be it? I mean maybe my laptop cant handle internal display from a 1050ti? I have a 3rd generation ivy-bridge laptop with i5. Has anyone ever ran into this? anyways thanks for any reply.
@torgriv, use Throttlestop or other CPU burn in tool to test CPU temps under full load. A system will usually switch off when it hits Tj (95-105c). An immediate response may indicate bad CPU heatsink contact, thermal paste, faulty CPU fan or a dust clogged radiator fins.
If the CPU checks out then try another PSU for your eGPU and confirm the GTX970 isn't faulty. Gen2 instability results in a BSOD, not laptop switching off.
