Well, recently i bought a EXP GDC with Mini PCI-e adapter and it was working fine, but now when i try to connect the graphic card it only turn on when i have mi laptop connected with the charger, also not work usb , and the graphic card is not detected, i've been do it a lot of things to fix it, but i could not
Here is a list with thing that i've done:
Format my laptop
Update BIOS
Use it in another pc (the graphic card works fine on desktop pc)
Change the PSU
all this happened when trying to open just cause 3, I did not have enough ram and I got blue screen, from that moment stop turning on the graphic card.
My graphic card is RX 560
It should be said that before the graphics card was lit at the same time as the laptop, but now it has a delay of about 5 to 10 seconds before turning on and it is only when the laptop is connected to the charger.
I hope someone can help me, this is killing me everyday.
P.D sorry for my english xd

So I modded an L430 notebook to run with a GTX 960 GDC Beast, so far it works fine, every game runs, firestrike near 95% performance, but there is 1 game, where the eGPU just runs abysmally bad.

Kingdom come deliverance runs so bad and I have no clue why. Even a GTX 750 TI runs better.

Any input on why the performance is so bad compared to all other games and benchmarks? Can I force it to run better somehow?

Hello.

Can anyone help?
I have run Exp GDC V.8 with NGFF/M.2.

Here my spec:
CPU: i7-6700HQ
RAM: 8Gb DDR3L
Motherboard: HP Pavilion 15, Intel HM170 chipset
BIOS: unmodded
iGPU: enabled (Intel HD 530)
dGPU: NVidia GTX950m
eGPU: NVidia GTX 1060 6Gb

some things I have tried out:

Scenario 1:
Remove WLAN, insert the EXP GDC. no delay/ 7s delay/ 15s delay and ATX switch on/off do not provide different results.

Result: Laptop stuck pre-post, power-on led turns on, caps lock blinking, does not show the splash screen, does not show any hdd activity nor does the usb keyboard work. The eGPU fan does spin.

Scenario 2:
Boot up with the WLAN inserted, put laptop to sleep, replace the WLAN with EXP GDC, wake laptop up again.

Result: Same Results with Scenario 1.

Tried to set eGPU to be permanent on, run with the same scenario, the result not detected.

I also tested the EXP GDC on a old Compaq 430, it worked for me.
Thank you in advance.

@nando4, might want to add this to the guide:

If you have a dGPU you suspect of causing issues, it might be helpful to make it completely invisible to the system (not just deactivate it) by using the following trick in the Windows Device Manager:

Step 1: Mark the dGPU by clicking on it once, then go to "View" -> "Devices by connection"

Step 2: Enter the settings of the "PCI Express Root Port" (or whatever it's called in English) that contains your dGPU, and disable/deactivate (NOT uninstall) it.

After that you will have a deactivated PCI Express Root Port device in the list, but the dGPU will be completely gone.
It will reappear when you reactivate the PCI Express Root Port.

I've been triyng to connect eGPU (NVIDIA 8600GTS and p106-100) using mPCI-E and m.2 connectors on my Lenovo e540, also on ASUS k55VM using mPCI-E and on a desktop PC (h110m-hds motherboard) through PCI-E 1x. None of the setups detected the GPU under Setup 1.35. I used 2 different riser boards (this and this). Both GPUs and PSU checked to be working on a PC. I've tried everything posted in this thread but still no detection. Anyone got any ideas? Would BPlus PE4L or GDC EXP work?

Hello all,
First of all, I would like to thank all you guys on maintaining this forum and keeping it active Smile

I am new to eGpu setup so I have read trough the forum very well and tried fair ammount of things and I am still not able to connect to eGpu.

So, my setup is next:
Laptop: Lenovo t540p
iGpu: Intel 4600 HD
dGpu: Nvidia 730m
eGpu dock: Exp Gdc Beast v8
eGpu connection: express card
eGpu: Msi Gtx 760
OS: Windows 10 Pro

So, after 2 day/night (no sleep) fight I would appreciate any help I can get.

Firstly, I started with existing OS installation and after failing I have reinstalled latest windows 10 Pro version on MBR.

My Bios version is latest.

I have bought eGpu Setup 1.35 (reason for MBR partition)

I have made DSDT override using Microsoft method for Lenovo system following guides and my Device manager is recognizing Large memory for Pci Complex - no error 12.

I didn't managed to boot up while eGpu was connected so each time I boot i disconnect eGpu and connect it after Bios flash. I enter eGpu setup, disable dGpu, set gen1 speed, and run Pci coalition on 36bit.

Windows loads and recognizes gtx 760 with error 43. I have cleaned my drivers with DDO, tried woth 3 nvidia driver versions clean install, each time I get e43.

If I reconnect eGpu while OS is running, I don't get error 43 and memory is correctly allocated, but can not use eGpu. After running error43ScriptFix, e43 dissapers but cames right back.

For boot fix, I have tried setting ATX PW switch and PTD timeouts but no hep for booting.

I will try next clean install Windows 10 Creators edition 1709 on UEFI, but I won't be able do disable dGpu than.

I can confirm that PSU and GPU are working correctly.

Last I tried to make dsdt using Intel method but left with BSOD duo incorrect dsdt values.

Can anyone share their working versions for eGpu on T540P and are they on MBR or UEFI?

Any ideas are welcome.
Thank you.
