Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap eGPU solution for my MacBook Pro 13' 2017 (With TouchBar) and I found someone who was able to connect EXP GDC (mini PCIe eGPU solution) to Thunderbolt 3 via TB3 to NVMe adapter that's meant for SSDs.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Would this work with macOS, or at least Win10?

I know this is a silly solution, but by far the cheapest, as eGPU enclosures here cost no less than 600usd, and as a student, that's a lot for me:)

Also, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong category:(

Thanks!

You'd want an M.2 eGPU adapter such as ADT-Link R43SG. Here's my build using a similar setup [build link]. Component costs were $120 at the time.

The ~US$120 ADT-Link R43SG-TB3 is the most cost-effective TB3 eGPU adapter. It comprises the components you've mentioned:

1. A ADT-Link R43SG M.2 NVME adapter

2. A M.2 NVME to TB3 adapter (like Wavlink UTE02 or JEYI LEIDIAN).

See more detail at:
