Alloha!

So just like the title says, I've got an HP Pavilion DV7-3160es (1st gen i5-430m processor) with a spare Expresscard slot (USB3.0 from riser going to a  diy USB3.0 to EC adapter). Will it work? The question here is more likely a bandwidth one since the setup provides around 320mb/s.

Thanks,
MoussaB.

Well, forget the wifi card setup since it doesn't come into portability much. Anyway the DIY EC to USB3.0 adapter I'm willing to use is this one https://egpu.io/forums/builds/2012-14-hp-8470p-9600gt4gbps-ec2-7-egpu/paged/3/#post-53549 - done by the legendary diyman
