Hi,

I will received an oculus rift soon, and having a MSI GT60 2QD with a gtx 970m. I was thinking of connecting an external graphics card with the mpcie port of the wifi (through an EXP GDC adapter, or through a PE4C). But, with the given specifications required for the helmet, i'm afraid that the speed of the mpcie port is too slow. What do you think, knowing that my current budget is very limited?
For the graphics card, a 4gb RX 570 would be sufficient? And especially in relation to the possible losses of such a system?

Thank you in advance!

PS: English is not my main language, so sorry if my writting is not that great.

Soon I will add my system & eGPU details or a build link to this my signature to give context to my posts

It does increase loading times a bit but it does work. I used a GTX 1050 with a mini PCIe egpu and was able to play many games (probably not really intense stuff like fallout or skyrim though.
