Hello guys,
I like the design fo the website, but, could be possible to have a dark theme? I mean, in the night, when I try to use it, it is really painfull being so lighter.
It should be great to have a checkbox in the settings to allow the use of light/dark theme.
Please, make it happen!!
Thanks.
I would like to see this as well. I got like half-way through slapping together a Stylish theme to do this but lost interest, haha.

@ed_co, nice suggestion. The forum software however has no facility per profile to implement a dark theme. It would need to be a site wide change. Instead, consider using Windows’ night mode blue-light filter:

I use macOS, so sadly, I can't.
@ed_co, there’s an equivalent Night Shift mode in macOS:

This is nothing related with that... It is just a subtle little tint (being more warm or cold, but not darkening anything)... which doesn't help at all...
I am seeing your tries to do a dark theme, and there are not bad, but just make sure there is no white in the margins, header or back of the page nor in any dialog, as it will even pop up more having pretty much anything in black. A good example of dark theme, is the youtube one (which you can enable from your user settings) it is kick ass. Doesn't need to be black, but just several dark greys... it will be really comfortable too.
Thanks for your efforts, I am sure you will get a really kick ass one soon 😉
Yeah this dark mode isn't really working... happy to give it a bash for ya if of genuine interest.
Had a little play, couldn't find a way to change the border bg bit... can prob bin off a lot of the borders.
Any updates?? It was almost done!!
@ed_co, on macOS, you have the night shift mode, and if you want black forum background, can be done by a key shortcut or in Accessibility -> Display -> Invert colours. A per-profile dark mode may happen as a future project.
Hope you change your mind, now with mojave having everything dark, it is painful to see a light website, and every programs that change artificially the style it is really unpleasent, not being native dark and the adjust are usually pretty bad...
Of course the black theme looks beautiful, but reading white text on a black background is much harder and more painful for the eyes.
