laptop: macbook pro 2019 13 inch
egpu enclosure: razer core x
display graphics card: Radeon rx 5700
so the 5700 has 1 hdmi port and 3 display ports on the back, ive seen some youtube videos about eGPU and all of them said that if you add headless adapters / dummy plugs to your eGPU it would boost your geekbench metal score by A LOT. as i already have an external monitor plugged into the HDMI port, if i plug 3 display port headless adapters into my eGPU would it work and increase my score? thanks
To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
.@oli, What benefits do you get from a higher Metal score in Geekbench? To get the most performance from an eGPU, connect a real monitor to it and make it the primary display. Not a dummy adapter.
