I use an open source 3D animation tool called Blender(specifically 2.79). The user can use an egpu to speed up render times and whenever I do, the egpu ends up going slower than the cpu. Initially I thought this was a Blender thing, but when I tried playing a video game with it, it started lagging immediately, and only stopped when I put it back on cpu. Am I using it wrong?
To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
.Using it on which Mac and OS version? External display?
Make sure you have a standard, undamaged, TB3 cable.
